BEACHWOOD STUDIOS PRODUCES 2 NEW DIY NETWORK SERIES

August, 2005 --- BEACHWOOD, OHIO --- Beachwood Studios, EDR Media’s television production unit, has begun work on two new workshop series for the DIY Network.

The first five-episode series, Ready As She Grows, takes an undecorated bedroom and decorates it to correspond to key childhood growth phases – from infancy through elementary school to high school and beyond. In the second series, Ready As He Grows, we see the room transformed through those same ages for a boy.

Providing a DIY approach, the shows provide detailed “how to” steps for the viewer, both on screen and online at DIYnetwork.com. Both workshop series are hosted by Jack Hourigan, who also co-hosts Food Network’s How To Boil Water. Steven Eyerman, a designer from HGTV’s Room by Room series, creates each of the rooms, showing the viewer how to do the same projects.

DIY Network selected Beachwood Studios to produce the shows based on the success of its shows on their sister network, Home and Garden TV. Beachwood Studios has produced over 120 episodes of the award-winning decorating series Room by Room. Beachwood Studios Room by Room producer Jane Temple heads up the “Ready As She/He Grows” project, together with other RxR veterans Warren Brown (production manager), Gary Gottschalk and Stewart Ryan (videographers).

For EDR Media’s Beachwood Studios, acquiring the production for these two series enhances its roster of broadcast shows, which already includes America Sews, Beads, Baubles and Jewels, and Scrapbook Memories.

We are thrilled to have the DIY Network seek us out to produce these two very entertaining series,” stated Peter Vrettas, CEO. “Our participation reinforces the fact that broadcast show production continues to be a focal point for this company, since it exemplifies our commitment to the highest possible video production standards.”

EDR Media develops and produces a broad range of digital media, including broadcast television shows, radio and television commercials for advertising agencies, business media, and content for retail media networks. Full-service audio and video production and postproduction services are provided on-site at the firm’s Beachwood Studios Production Center.
